I offer personal tuition in playing the electric, acoustic and bass guitar and have a wide repertoire which covers most contemporary styles.  I also teach music theory - in a way that makes it useful and understanable for guitarists - as well composition and songwriting. 

Beginners are always welcome and lessons are always tailored to suit individual needs and aspirations.

You can learn to play purely for pleasure, or work towards taking graded examinations with either Rockschool or Trinity College.  Full support is also available for GCSE music candidates.

My students have a 100% pass rate when taking graded examinations, with the majority achieving passes with distinction.

Many of the guitars aimed at the 'beginner' market  benefit hugely from a good set up to improve playability.  This is also something I can help with as I enjoy working on guitars as much as I do playing them, and I have increasingly done more and more of this type of work over the last 10 years.  

I have been teaching music professionally since 2004.  I established Avondale Guitar Tuition when I moved back to Winsford in 2012.  I work from a comfortable and fully equipped music room at my home, which is at a convenient location, with easy parking in St. Georges Road.
